Lois La Grenade Distinguished Lecture
Dr. Cheryl Rosen received her M.D. from the University of Toronto in 1980. She did her residency in internal medicine and dermatology at the University of Toronto from 1980-1984. Dr. Rosen then did a Clinical and Research Fellowship in photobiology at the Wellman Laboratories, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University from1984-1987.
Dr. Rosen is Head of the Division of Dermatology at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network Hospitals. Dr. Rosen has a clinical practice at Toronto Western Hospital. She is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Rosen was the National Director of the Canadian Dermatology Association’s Sun Awareness Program for many years and remains actively involved in the Program.
Dr. Rosen is also a member of GRAPPA (Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis) and IPART (International Psoriatic Arthritis Research Team).
Dr. Rosen’s research interests include:
- Public education for skin cancer prevention and early detection
- Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis
- Effects of ultraviolet radiation on cutaneous biology

Continuing Medical Education Credits for the 25th Annual Caribbean Dermatology Conference were approved for Fifteen (15) Hours of Continuing Medical Education Credit by the National Committee of Continuing Medical Education of the Medical Council of Jamaica. Each participant should claim only those CME hours actually spent in the activity. CME Certificates will be sent by email at the close of the meeting. If you have not received or have misplaced your CME certificate please email the CDA Secretariat to request it be re-sent.
