The Caribbean Dermatology Association (CDA) was established in 1992 by predominantly English-speaking dermatologists, with its inaugural conference hosted in Jamaica. Since its inception, the annual Caribbean Dermatology Conference has rotated locations across member territories. This conference stands as the foremost event for Caribbean dermatologists to receive updates, education, and insights on the most recent developments in scientific research, surgical techniques, and clinical practices for dermatological care in the region.

The CDA’s membership has expanded to include medical professionals from the Dutch speaking Caribbean, the United Kingdom, Canada, the USA, and the US Virgin Islands. The annual conferences draw a wide audience of dermatologists, general practitioners, nurses, and medical students from across the Caribbean and beyond, fostering international collaboration and learning.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the completion of this Conference, participants should:

  1. Recognize international advancements that may enhance the diagnosis, treatment, and management of dermatological conditions in the Caribbean.
  2. Gain a deeper comprehension of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for complex cases via case study presentations and discussions.
  3. Be informed about current research, significant clinical trials, and publications that could contribute to improved management of dermatological diseases.
