Membership
There shall be four (4) types of membership in the Association:-
Ordinary Membership
All those exclusively or largely engaged in the practice of Dermatology in the Caribbean (other than Residents in training in Dermatology), or those who have made a significant contribution to the field of Dermatology, who have completed an approved Dermatology residency programme, a Diploma or a Masters Degree in Dermatology and two (2) years of Supervised Clinical Experience.
Associate Membership
Residents engaged in Dermatology training, or medical practitioners whose practice includes Dermatology and fields allied to dermatology or other medical practitioners with special interest in dermatology.
Honorary Membership
Overseas Membership
Open to overseas doctors who who have completed an approved Dermatology residency programme, a Diploma or a Masters Degree in Dermatology and two (2) years of Supervised Clinical Experience.
- Ordinary members in good standing have voting rights and are eligible for election to office. Associate and Overseas members have voting rights and are eligible for election to all Executive posts with the exception of Vice-President and President.
- Associate members (b-i) on completion of their approved Dermatology residency programme, Diploma or Masters Degree in Dermatology and two (2) years of supervised clinical experience are eligible to apply for ordinary membership.
The initial group of doctors who attended the meetings on November 21, 1992 are the founding members of the Association. Subsequent new members shall be proposed and seconded by ordinary members of the Association and this application for membership must be approved by the Executive Committee.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Ordinary, Associate and Overseas members shall pay an ordinary subscription fee of US$150 due in January of each year.
